David Gan's Blog : My Young Princesses

It’s time to start showing off my Effortless pictures again. These are 2 of my young princesses and I hope that they will be groomed in the right environment. Being a public figure, they will tend to face lots of criticism and comments. It is definitely not easy to face such nonsense, but as you become more and more famous you will face even more stress not only from work but also from the gossips.

Look at the Ah Ge and Ah Jie – Act uncle role kena criticised that he looks uncle and when Ah jie acts as a stylish career woman kena criticised that she has too many wrinkles. I thought that actors should make themselves look like the role of the character they are in? Would it be believable if your aircon repair man looked like a gorgeous porn star and if your strong career woman had flawless skin a like a mannequin. Come on let’s cut them some slack! They are just trying too look like the character they want to portray. They are doing their best for the industry so why don’t we encourage them instead of slamming them all the time. I am sure that we have many good actors but we don’t have many famous ones. Why aren’t the famous ones used in the serials with good scripts? Maybe it’s because famous and good actors are more difficult to handle than a good actor. But that’s all part of the entertainment industry.

We should boost our industry instead of making it even smaller than what it already is. The top people always look out for themselves or maybe are too busy to help. Maybe, our country’s king can do something about it? Oh we don’t have a king in Singapore I think I watch too many good TV dramas. Hope one day our TV dramas and celebrities can make Singapore proud. My 2 young princesses, Jia You!!
