Upcoming Sept drama Love Thy Neighbour 四个门牌一个梦 also features an actor among actors, a veteran among veterans, Mr Ha Yu 夏雨大哥!
The 65-year old has spent the last 44 years in show business, with his last iconic role being 甘泰祖 (the father) in <溏心风暴之家好月圆>. That role left a huge impression on viewers, and won him a Best Actor award in 2008′s Hong Kong TVB awards. I can only imagine how difficult it is to have a breakthrough when you have been in the business for 40+ years, but he did it!
During his imaging for Love Thy Neighbour today, he revealed that he has always played the 好男人 in his dramas. He was very excited by his role this time, as 王大发! Wang Da Fa is a 江湖佬, who is witty and humourous but he is very 贪小便宜 and addicted to gambling.
Don’t think there’s anyone else who can handle this role with as much charm and skill! What kind of sparks will fly between him and his ‘daughter’ Felicia Chin?
Today’s imaging also saw 洪慧芳, who obviously plays his wife and Felicia’s mother. (Felicia says HELLO from her tummy!)
We also headed down to a temple last week to begin the first day of filming. 开镜咯!
