Styles sussed out: We check in with sweet faced actress, Felicia Chin and bring you a glimpse of her sartorial style for your fashion inspiration.
The phrase 'what you see is what you get' is probably the best way to describe fun-loving actress Felicia Chin. Her cheery disposition clearly extends to her personal style of fashion - going by her love for colourful, fun and vibrant fashion pieces.
Sporting a new tan at the recently held Star Awards 2010, the reigning princess looked extremely lovely in a Marc by Marc Jacob's Spring 2010 short dress and a vibrant mini number from Manish Arora, a designer from India.
The female champion in Channel 8's Star Search [2003] competition started out squinty-eyed with nary a whiff of celebrity appeal but these day, Felicia Chin is strutting her stuff with such glowing style that we can't stop falling in love with her all over again.
1. Describe your style.
It is just an expression of myself; there and then.
2. Which brands do you fancy to buy?
I really like the clothes and personality from Dsquared²; it's all about being fun, loud, and vibrant. Shouldn't life be like that?
3. Where do you normally shop your clothes from?
Anywhere, I like clothes from the men's department.
4. How often do you buy new clothes to refresh your wardrobe?
I don't think too much into it; when I see something I like or a style I want to try, I'll probably do something about it such as buy some clothes and get some accessories, just have fun.
5. Are you the type of person who matches everything to a T?
I match everything to a F.
6. What would you never wear?
What I wore to my secondary school prom when I was 16. (Laughs)
7. What is one item that you really should throw away, but probably never will?
Nothing.
8. How long does it take you to get dressed?
A second. Onwards and onwards.
9. What's your grooming routine?
Routine is pretty simple; plus positivity, happiness, fun, laughter and love.
10. Who do you think are the true fashion icons today?
Katherine Hepburn and Audrey Hepburn, they were ahead of their times. Of course they were beautiful but what stood out also were their individual expressions of themselves. They were different from the majority and yet, they were confident and I think it is a worthy attribute to learn.
Frankly speaking, we are fashion icons! If we only dare to experiment and dress the way we want. Fashion is a creative and visual expression of oneself and it is a way of life too! Shouldn't we celebrate life as unique individuals instead of trying to be like everyone else?
11. Any fashion tip you would like to give to our readers?
Try green eye-shadow; it looks good.
12. Are you happy with the way you look? Rate yourself from 1 to 10
Yes, very. 11; morale-booster ;)
