Will Ann Kok, Joshua Ang and Tay Pinghui emerge triumphant this year?

Our take on the Top 10 Most Popular Female Artistes:
On the winning pedestal: Jeanette Aw, Felicia Chin, Rui En, and Joanne Peh

With the seven princesses now whittled down to the formidable four, there's no showing in weaker star power or lost of appeal amongst fans.

The trio's (Jeanette, Felicia, and Rui En) ardent fans put on such a strong resistance against fellow competitors during voting of Most Favourite Female Character (in the Star Awards Show 1) and took up three out of the coveted five final spots. A legion of fans? You betcha. Guaranteed spots? No doubt about it.

As for the newly-crowned media darling, Joanne, she has got the best of both worlds -- fans and media -- on her side. Coupled with her current exposure on the 7pm slot in the ongoing megadrama series Your Hand In Mine, she's a sure shoo-in at this Sunday's awards ceremony.

In the safe zone: Jesseca Liu, Ann Kok, Vivian Lai

It's a 'goodbye' award for one, and a 'welcome back' award for the other.

Call it Jesseca's swansong on television. A Top 10 Most Popular Female Artiste award would be the best parting gift for her. Fans, are you reading this? On the other hand, the buxomly one of MediaCorp has transformed from comeback-nobody, to comeback kid Ann with her titular role in the household hit, Housewives' Holiday. She's even in the running for Best Actress win this year with her stellar performance. 'nuff said.

In dangerous waters: Quan Yifong, Xiang Yun, Yvonne Lim

We think Xiang Yun and Yvonne has got enough exposure on local TV, but not enough star appeal to outshine their fierce competitors. And as much as we love Yifong's wit and sarcasm, the statistics don't lie: According to the weekly Top 10 Most Popular Female Artistes updates, the redhead has never once made it into the list since her nomination.

The underdogs: Kym Ng, Michelle Chia, Belinda Lee

As consistent runners for the coveted Top 10 spots, will Kym and Michelle's star powers fade under the blazing competition, or will their consistent performances in variety hosting be strong enough to win them votes from the audiences?
